“Fever” is a letterpress print created for In Our Hands, a national portfolio centered on environmentalism and the urgent need for collective action. Since the early 19th century, scientists have studied the warming of our planet and its direct impact on all forms of life. This portfolio invites artists to celebrate the beauty of the natural world while also provoking a critical reevaluation of industrialization, consumerism, and Western values.

Sixteen artists from across the United States were invited to contribute an edition of twenty prints, each addressing the fragility of our environment and society. Printed on Arnhem 1618 paper, generously donated for the project, the portfolio showcases a wide range of printmaking techniques including relief, silkscreen, mezzotint, lithography, etching, and letterpress.

“Help” is a letterpress print created for Fables, Apologues, and Parables, a portfolio of eight limited edition prints by eight different artists, published by Paper Crown Press. The collection explores themes of human character, personal reflection, and metaphorical truth through diverse visual narratives.

Each artist was invited to contribute a unique interpretation of these timeless concepts, resulting in an eclectic and thought-provoking body of work. Contributing artists were asked to produce an edition of 12 prints using a 5" x 7" plate size. All impressions were printed on 16" x 20" sheets of Arnhem 1618 paper and feature a range of traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques.

“Monument” is a five-color silkscreen created for The Human Condition, a print portfolio featuring work by 13 printmakers who collaborate on sustaining the publication Carrier Pigeon. The portfolio explores themes of personal and collective experience—encounters, longing, loss, introspection, and the shaping force of the outside world.

Each artist was asked to respond to these ideas through a print measuring 11" x 15", with final impressions printed on 15" x 20" sheets of Arnhem 1618 paper. The edition consists of 20 prints per artist, showcasing a wide range of techniques from traditional to contemporary printmaking practices.

The following work is part of my High Strangeness series, a body of prints and paintings that playfully explores the paranormal, the fringe, and the unexplained. From UFOs and cryptids to speculative theories like Hollow Earth, these works invite viewers to suspend disbelief and embrace the weirdness that lurks just beyond the veil of the everyday. Barteluce draws inspiration from the 18th-century naturalist Albertus Seba and his Cabinet of Natural Curiosities, adopting a similar approach to documentation—except here, the curiosities are modern myths. Rendered in mediums such as two-color silkscreen, woodblock, and etching, each piece is layered with hidden symbols and deeper mysteries, echoing the preternatural subjects they depict.
